Mould and Press Precision Toolmakers, High speed machining - N D Precision Products UK N.D.Precision Products was founded in 1973 by partners David Squire and Gordon Gregory, to manufacture high precision tooling to the electronics industry, from its base in Barnstaple. After 8 years of successful trading the company had outgrown these premises so the company was moved to a site on Braunton Road, Barnstaple. A major building expansion at these premises provided a further 3000 square feet of manufacturing floor space to accommodate its wire erosion department. In 1987 the company extended their manufacturing portfolio by acquiring the Craigen Engineering Company, a specialist tool making company and in 1988 further expansion saw them acquire the Reliance Engineering Company, a small company specialising in turned parts for the automotive industry. In 1997 the partnership was dissolved with David and Nick Squire purchasing the North Devon Precision Products and Craigen Engineering Companies. In 1999 the plant was refurbished and the very latest manufacturing technology installed. This included AGIE Wire and Sink Erosion Equipment, 3R Automation and Solid Edge (Unigraphics) CAD design.
